JW is too obtuse to think this is about her.

It would be nice to have a sense of continuity, but it's not necessary. I appreciate your efforts in running this blog. It's an important public service. If we can warn one person about JW, then our work is done.

  8. A year ago she was posting about upcoming events/workshops: Antlerstock, meat rabbits, wool, writer workshop, fiddle camp. Now just fiddle camp is offered. What gives?
Maybe there was little to no interest so she dropped them.
Has anyone here been to Antlerstock? That involved other people to facilitate workshops so I wonder what happened with those partnerships... Hmmm

  11. Here's to the BS:

What kind of prey have you captured with your birds?

    Blogger Jenna Woginrich said...

88, great question! Around here it is all about the cottontails and squirrels. Some people I'm neighbors with hunt with goshawks who go after pheasants and ducks. Some people have kestrels that want nothing but starlings. It depends on the bird!

BS ALERT - note that she does not answer the question, the real answer was "I caught nothing because I really don't know anything about this bird crap"

    Blogger Renee M. said...

Where is Anna Kendrick? (Your previous hawk -- I'm hoping I'm remembering her name correctly.)

    Blogger Jenna Woginrich said...

Falconers don't keep their birds, Italics (my first bird) was released. Anna was lost last season in March. This new bird will be a whole new adventure.

BS ALERT, the real answer "Anna died in her cage, probably starved or OD'ed on too much Braveheart, who cares, time for a new bird!"

    Blogger Elizabeth said...

Oh no! What happened to sweet ANNA? Did she just fly away? I did't know they did that!

    Blogger Jenna Woginrich said...

Falconer's birds fly away all the time.

BS ALERT: Yes "they do fly away all the time" but real answer = "My bad, she died in captivity prior to flying away"

Please send $$ to the JW law school scholarship, she knows what is is

    1. Wow...I didn't want to believe that her last hawk died in captivity, but I really think this confirms it. I'm pretty sure that's something that, as an apprentice, she would be required to report. I wonder if she's on some sort of probation now, in the falconry community. I HOPE she is, for the sake of the next bird she traps. :(

Also? I've never, ever seen someone engaged in a hunting sport so utterly unsuccessful at killing anything. Ever. Either she doesn't even try to shoot something because then she'd have to go to all the work of butchering/prepping the animal, or she has never even left her house all those mornings she claims to be out hunting.

      Delete
    2. A while ago I asked her if the hawk had ever caught anything. She responded with "Yes!". Then I asked what and I got no response. I don't remember if it was another comment or what but what it caught was mice.
I have mini dachshunds and got them as pups so at the time I researched if Hawks and such can snatch a small dog. They can swoop down on something that size...the size of a rabbit.....but they can't carry it off...too heavy.
So the idea that a red tail...and a young one especially....will fly off your hand and bring back a rabbit is just not possible.
Could it bring down a rabbit?....probably.....but you would have to run over and get it.

      Delete
    3. She's been evasive about the details of Anna Kendrick since it happened-- the giveaway that something bad went down. I'm pretty sure you can FOIA this info if anyone is so inclined.

      Delete
    4. Why on earth would she report it? Remember, this is Jenna we're talking about. Because no one would be able to say for certain that it hadn't flown away if she claimed that's what happened. Quietly bury the evidence, tell her mentor that the bird flew away, end of problem. Cue next year's bird!

This is where this blog is making great strides. Giving her potential victims information about Jenna Woginrich's despicable behavior usually falls on deaf ears. However, pointing out when she breaks the law is undeniable intel.

I am going to find out where we can email to report her for not reporting what happened to her previous Hawks. The proper authorities can investigate her.

If she catches another hawk, I am going to go balls to the wall to make sure every inch of that "farm" is scrutinized and that every department in her county that can inspect the "farm" and her defenseless livestock does.

Jenna, I am diligent and I follow through on my promises. If you capture another hawk to watch Netflix with, you had better make sure you have crossed every T and dotted every I. You will have less freedom than that poor animal, that I promise you.

Spent about 20 hours trapping and no luck so far. Still looking for my future roommate. Soon as I get her, you guys will hear about it!

Hawk trapping started September 1. She's spent twenty hours in the last four days engaged in something entirely recreational. The fact that this same woman held a fundraiser to pay her mortgage a month ago (threat of foreclosure!) makes this all the more mind blowing. Her fans think they're helping a hard-working farmer stay afloat, the reality is more along the lines of funding the early retirement of an entitled hipster.

  17. Twenty. Hours. Chasing after a wild, free, useless to you, bird.

    Time's a wastin, hon.

An expected doozy of a winter is sniffing about in the sloped "mountain" woods, soon to come creeping, then bounding toward the door of your (s)crappy "farm"house, alongside its friend, Wolf.

No worries really, though, right? Time-wasting avocations and imminent icy-hearted creatures lurking are all grist for the mill for your actual professions: beggar; screen addict.

Times and fans might be a-changing, though, eh?

But probably not. Your most loyal fans remind me of another someone's admirers who give endless passes for outrageous, shameful behavior.

So hey, have an autumn love-fest, enjoy your favorite season with no worries. Don't let being a grown-up with animals and property to care for get you down.

Besides, you thrive on the mostly pretend angst and drama. The undercurrent of fear is the best part in a way, I bet. It not only works for you, it's in the very blood of the real person behind the props, wearing a fussy bonnet beneath your plain, simple brown one : Damsel in Distress.

It is so obvious to all but you and your mysteriously non-comprehending fans. You are actually quite useless and helpless on your land and in your life - not only for a 'farmer' but for a 30-something who pretends and writes about it while being propped up by people who believe your b.s. about yourself.

If you were honest about who you really are and how you really manage to stay on your property, and actually DO everything you actually are capable of doing to keep and care for your "dream" (instead of pretending that you do, making dishonest excuses, manipulating people, not fulfilling your obligations) I could feel a shred of sympathy.

I actually know what it's like to not be capable in many ways, constitutionally, personality-wise, or from disability, to do what one must, go all out, work really hard, care for what you have, live authentically, and prosper in a life one would like, or would dearly, dearly LOVE, to have.

Many or all of have problems and challenges and disappoint ourselves regularly with what we do not do - and with what we do that we might be ashamed of or is clearly not helpful to ourselves or our goals.

Lord knows you aren't alone in being a mess of a person. Get some therapy, sell the animals except for the dogs, get ANY job or several REAL ones to pay for it all, work on your self and your life. Keep the animals and your fans out of it until you get it together.

  18. 20 hours tracking a creature that does not add anything useful to her farm instead of spending the time getting ready is insanity.

It could see it if she spent the summer slowly preparing, but we all know she never does anything ahead if she can wait until the last minute.

I've always found it curious why she doesn't lay in needed winter supplies in the off season when the prices might be better, or buy extra every week. Why wait until you really need it but can't afford it? This is why she doesn't heat with oil, she can't afford to pay for it all at once. It really doesn't have much to do with her love of waking up in winter with ice icicles hanging off her nose.

In 20 hours she could (maybe that's any normal person) get the farm ready for winter, but chooses not to.

  19. I for one am glad she is out chasing dreams. It is fun to watch her Fail. Her rollercoaster life is of her choosing and very bad choices. As for the donations people are paying for the entertainment. Jenna talks of growing her own food and " living " off her land . For one person that should be very easy , but it is to difficult for her. The animals she has seem to all cost more money than they provide. Her dreams and personal life are no real interest to me . 2. Well the instagram link is the instagram account of the artist of that picture who copyrighted it. That picture was put up on instagram 25 weeks ago. So going by that I would say the instagram account of the artist, with a drawing rendered by said artist copyrighted by said artist proves that if JW has something similar- this artist was her inspiration. And I would say this even if I hadn't taken the time to see artists signature in the bottom corner of dancing chicken was the same as the instagram account name. Why? Because nothing JW does is unique in that it's her own concept or an original thought or piece of work.

  23. You know, for as easily as she can raise funds, I'm baffled as to why she wouldn't raise $ for a structure where she can store hay. She is wasting gas, time, and I'm assuming is paying more for a few bales at a time than if she bought in bulk.

If she used her begging powers for good, she'd have one of the most beautiful and well equipt legit farms in the area.

    She's an odd one.

    1. While it would seem like a great idea to have that hay building that would mean that she would need to come up with a load of cash once a year when its filled.

The way she does it means that she can spread the costs out over months only needing to pay for a few bales at a time as she gets them.

For sure it will save on costs to do the larger amounts but you need to be able to come up with the cash to do so

      Delete
    2. Has she ever asked, begged, solicited or bartered for help online or in real life to have a building built, a building fixed, someone to come assist her with fence building once and for all- good fencing equipment, roofing, siding, machinery, seed or assistance to regrow her pasture, logging assistance, a chainsaw or an ax? If it is for her animals, or their safety or just common sense stuff like chopping her own wood- forget about it.

She cannot afford CAF. She cannot afford the mortgage for CAF. No matter what side jobs she claims to have she cannot afford the mortgage. It would be like any other person living in a home or apartment and they cannot afford the rent. What would they do? Well, if they were able bodied and not already working they would get a job. If they were not able bodied and able to work or find work they would move or sell or? Whatever JW's initial plan was almost immediately after buying CAF and getting into debt she decided to quit her job. Since that time she has needed strangers on the internet to pay her mortgage. But it doesn't stop there. She also wears nice clothing, drives the kind of truck she feels make her look authentic, has sheep dogs for her sheep, is able to reach personal goals on WOW and even be a beta tester for other games. She solicits advice for shows she can binge while "creating" logos because I guess Orange is the New Black inspires her to "create" better logos? She solicits advice on make-up, she asks for assistance$ to buy hay, she asks friends to stack it for her and she is able to play on the internet or in the Battenkill river to her hearts content. When she tires of that she rides her pony, is able to work towards a black belt (which she achieved) and hawk hunt. If her septic overflows she solicits cash, if her auto breaks down, because she doesn't maintain it, she solicits cash, and if she feels especially generous she takes the cash solicited and donates to other people's gofundme's all over the internet. She doesn't live like someone that has to beg for her mortgage payment, because her begging is ALL THE TIME meaning a steady stream of cash. And when that isn't enough she is campaigning for $ on Gofundme or Kickstarter. All to pay a mortgage she can't pay so that she can play some more. The very definition of irresponsibility. Soliciting for a hay barn and filling it with hay makes sense. It's just not something JW would ever do. I don't believe half the stories she posts about animals getting out. I truly think that she posts those stories routinely to keep the lie going that she cannot get a real life job because she cannot leave the farm. Also, it always looks good to keep the story going that Gibson is a sheep dog, trained to herd sheep. When in all actuality Gibson is an untrained sheep dog who is actually her pet/husband/roommate/soul mate/partner.

  32. How on earth does she get her graphic design jobs? Who makes up her buyer pool? What % of either faithful readers or people who simply stumble upon her social media are in need of her one-style-only, black and white logos for their enterprises?

Unfathomable way to do business, creative or otherwise. As has been suggested before by several, surely she doesn't WANT to set up a legit business with normal ethical practices and taxes involved. Being accountable is a non-starter for her, always.

Every time I read the word "client" from her I laugh. Right, Jenna, where did you find this new real (or imaginary) victim/sucker/worried about you fan? Surely not a serious, logo-NEEDING, new customer?

Where DOES all her money come from to pay the mortgage - and water, electricity, wood ,feed and hay, gaming, internet!, clothing, vinyl, makeup, laundromat, groceries, gas, butchering, routine animal vet care, such as it is? Oh, almost forgot the monthly bar tab! Can you even imagine? She spends like she's got money to burn.

Truly can't imagine how likely smallish donation sums, feel-sorry-for-you handouts, outright health-related (supposedly) desperate emergency moaning, and a few logo commissions from mystery peeps, scattered ad dollars, few and far between workshops, piddly book royalties - possibly come anywhere near meeting her monthly real expenses and constant play/image related, discretionary (luxury) spending?

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND her setup. Even accounting for the larger scammed pennies-from-heaven (unearned prize money, bogus "loans", go fund me type gifts)her presumed accounts receivable/payable ratios do not add up.

What am I missing beyond the fact that her animals are likely very poorly cared for and CAF is an unmaintained mess? Almost seems like there must be another 500/mo source her readers aren't privy to. Perhaps she really has a secret patron who sends a hefty monthly amount just for her to be her snowflaky, spendthrift self. Not likely, just truly don't get how she is able to spend SO much on non-essentials.

    1. I'm really wondering the same thing about her finances. The income just does not in any way equal, or even come close to, the outgo. She must have some other (unknown to us) source of hefty monthly income. There is just no way all her expenses are being paid by random donations, logo sales, or even the larger occasional windfalls.

I figure her expenses per month are around $2,000. About $1,200 for the mortgage, $200 feed costs, then there's all the luxury items like online gaming accounts, Internet, Netflix, booze, and on and on.

What gives? Maybe she's getting her inheritance early.

    3. I think I can answer that question regarding her mystery income: it's from the advertisers that appear on the right hand side of her blog. A typical formula for ad rates for a blog: for every 500 views - $50 per month per ad. So if she's getting a 1,00 views per day (which she used to do, not so sure about current numbers), she's charging each advertiser $100 per month. Her actual price may be somewhat higher or lower, but the ads would provide a base income.

      Delete
    4. Ah.... No wonder she puts up that "Come In Sit Down" post so often! There are over 500 views on that one alone. So if she posts that once a month she automatically gets the 500 views. Tricky, Jenna.

      Delete
    5. Okay, I think I'm confusing page views with blog posts. Probably not the same thing? Anyway... She is probably getting a bit from ads. She's got so many on there.

      Delete
    6. Another question. Can only the owner of the blog see the number of page views? I do not have a blog, so I don't know.

      Delete
    7. I had no idea whatsoever! I imagined that she got paid by the advertisers perhaps .05 every time someone actually clicked on their ad.

But are you saying that each advertiser pays her $100 per month just to sit on her blog (assuming she gets x# of just views each month)? I am blown away, have been utterly clueless. If anything could keep me off her blog, this big of news-to-me surely will. Sounds like easily more than 500, maybe even 1000. Well I'll be..horrified, actually, lol!

I likely completely misread what you wrote. I was definitely confused among info on blog traffic, what they pay her for a particular amount, and what she charges them to display on her blog.

Whatever the details, sounds like it's a substantial windfall of yet more unearned income - beyond being a wildly annoying creature and writing - crowing about! her life of Riley, shamelessly.

      Delete
    8. Yes, you're correct, each advertiser is probably paying $50-$100 per month to sit on her blog. Some may have different deals (the Vermont Bun Burner people GAVE her a stove in exchange for their ad). I imagine that the money is in the neighborhood of $2,500 per month from that source. Add in the money that she gets for selling logos/artwork and donations and you can see how she keeps it all rolling.

      Delete
    9. Rolling...possibly. Ahead...no way. She will never get ahead until she scales down the outgoing money.

      Delete
    10. Is it just me that can't see it, or is the bun baker ad gone?

      Delete
    11. You're right, anon. 6:48, the Bun Baker ad is gone. Maybe they reviewed the blog and took it down, or maybe there was a contract for a certain amount of time. Who knows?

      Delete
    12. Wow. I never noticed that much or counted, but there are no less than 27 ad banners on her blog site. Even if each of them pays a paltry, say, $20 a month that's more than $500 a month for her. I'm sure some pay more. I'm getting that is her base income, plus all the other odds and ends, gofundme, etc. that comes in. She's probably paying the mortgage with the ads. Begging for the rest.

      Delete
  33. Her money comes from "donations" and scams. I wouldn't put it past her to have an entirely separate grift which she does not mention publicly because she can't take a chance on being called out and losing the income.
Maybe she has nasty sugar daddys who supplement her income, who knows. Maybe she scams little old ladies? Maybe she takes a side job working from home just long enough to get unemployment.
There's no telling. But whatever it is, we all know she does not work for it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I also find her advertisers annoying, and never click on their links. I hope that they eventually dump her fat ass, too.

    ReplyDelete
  35. A gander through Google shows there are formulas for companies to figure out how much they they have to pay per click, and conversely, for websites to determine how much to charge a company to advertise. Sounds like you can charge either way. I count 32 advertisers on her blog. If she charges $50 per advertiser upfront, that's $1600 per month. According to what I read, advertisers will also look at average comments per month, not just clicks, which explains why "Come In Sit Down" keeps showing up.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If they are looking at the comments surely they can't be blind to the fact that most of them are years old, with very few in this year or last.

    2. Probably a robo-program "looks" at the comments - just tallies up the number - no real human eyes.

  36. I have to say, I run several blogs and something small like hers, I'm sure she has negotiated some sort of deal with each and everyone. Some I think she's gotta a product or service from. Others are probably either a one time fee for awhile, month, year, etc., but I don't think she's as sophisticated to keep track of all the page views and charge them, etc. Maybe. Still, Yeah, it's income and probably a good deal of her bread and butter money.

I think she probably exists like a lot of small business owners operate. We have several home business, a small farm, royalties and a little advertising coming in. Which means we always have a little money coming in, almost daily. $20-$50 a day... It handles the easy stuff, a bag or two of feed, 10 bales of hay, WOW subscription, new toys... etc. But it is hard to do big things like a mortgage, because you have to let that trickle build up.

I suspect that is what she is doing. Just my thoughts.

  37. She's no Pioneer Woman (who earns in the millions annually from her blog).
She has also has an attractive website. Snowflake isn't even in the same solar system.

    ReplyDelete
  38. If she's re-posting the "Come in sit down" in order to skew the numbers & keep her advertising $$ rolling in, guess what? It's yet another SCAM she's running.
    When will this end?

  45. so she bought the house for $158K in april of 2010 and the zillow estimate is about $105K and its probably less than that in the condition it is in. I warned her years ago when she busted the baseboard heating that she was hurting the value of her house and it would end up burning her in the end but did snowflake listen? Of course not because hers is a special snowflake world where things like foreclosure or wait for it realizing you cant afford what you have and sell just dont happen. And why should they when people keep bailing you out again again again again for how long oh wait 6 years yep 6 years. I think she over paid for that house big time and she had a usda mortgage which means she didnt put a lot down. And how can you refinance to get the payment lower when you have paid down very little of the interest on the loan and have little equity to cash out and of course you probably hide most of your income from the irs.

    1. She probably wouldn't qualify for a refi because her income is so eradic and sh has too many late payments.

    2. She doesn't claim "donations" on her income taxes. If someone looked over her financials it would look as though she lives off of $5,000 or so a year.

      Delete
    3. Everything donated thru her donate button gets Taxed

      Delete
    4. No, it doesn't. $20,000 and under does not get taxed and Jenna has more than one PayPal account. When one approaches $20,000, she uses a different one.

      Delete
    5. I work from home and one of my contracts uses PayPal to pay me. It's true about the $20,000 limit on PayPal, however, that just triggers a 1099 from PayPal. It does NOT mean the income isn't taxable, just that PayPal doesn't have to bother keeping track of it. You are supposed to. Thus, when I do my taxes, I report the PayPal income under Misc Income without a 1099, but with the employer/contract's Federal tax ID. Since she doesn't have any tax ID for these donations (obviously) then it should just go under Misc Income on the 1040.

I will probably get hives from burning a book ( gives me goose bumps just thinking about it) but I seriously can't believe that I once had enough faith in her to actually purchase a book of hers. Thankfully it was only the one and I got the rest from the library.

I'm spending hours a day looking for a new hawk. No luck yet trapping. Frustrating, exciting, hopeful. #falconry

Last week she was warbling about $1000 in repair bills on her truck. This week she has the luxury of spending "hours a day" looking for a hawk she has four months to trap. I've never seen someone claim to be in such fiscal distress spend so much time on leisure activities and hobbies.

The saddest part about this, after the fact that an innocent wild animal is being subject to her dubious animal care practices, is that the whole falconry deal is just so she can't get attention.
