Why Are We Here?......

There are hundreds of people that come to this blog daily. There are hundreds of reasons that they do. Every one of them has a valid reason to read, post, or commiserate. You don't have to have lost money to Jenna Woginrich to have been scammed by her. You don't have to feel scammed to be here. You get to have and state your opinion.....everyone gets to! Even if your opinion doesn't line up with the more vocal people on this site. Keep Calm and Carry On

  1. I wonder if this blog is getting more traffic yet than CAF it certainly gets more comments as the comments on her blog have dried up. I hope a lot of people did the RSS feed trick too so her numbers drop.

    1. Is there an easily explainable way to do the RSS feed thing?

Totally not tech savvy and will likely struggle mightily (understatement!) to follow and implement - but cannot even locate a how to by googling.

Found somthing about setting up counters by website owners but not how users can do stealth visits unseen/uncounted.

  2. To answer the question in the title of this thread- Why are we here?

To read posts by other anonymous posters that either hate Jenna Woginrich or can't take their eyes away from what they have perceived as her undoing and/or train wreck.

Also to catch up on her blog posts and FB because I don't follow her on FB. It's like watching hoarders, it makes what goes on in my life pale by comparison. I agree with the other posters we shouldn't have to have been scammed by her in order to make fun of her. I'm glad someone started a blog where people can come and make fun of her or anyone really without having to feel guilty about it. I also agree with the other posters that anything should go- no holds barred. This is definitely the right group/blog for people like me.

    2. It's so funny. I post my real true feelings of why I am here and it would seem that anon 5:14 suspects I am Jenna herself. Look around and be real what I said is no different from what most people here think, including you. When someone here can't handle the truth or someone else's truth they're automatically Jenna. The administrator started a thread, I took it to be literal so I answered as honestly as I could. There's room for honest people like me here, and room for people like you too. Get off your high horse and maybe try answering the question. You might find your answer looks a lot more like my than you can stand. And as for anon 4:34 what do you do follow anon 5:14 around and cheer her or him on? Ya both need to get a life. Unlike you I'm on this thread to contribute, not to be a troll like the both of you. smh grow up!

    3. Oh, Jenna. You are so very transparent and you can't stand that so many of us are onto you. I am quite the grown up with a JOB, paying my own bills (there's a concept) and making sure that anyone who Googles your name finds out what a criminal you are.
It's called putting on your big girl pants and muti-tasking. You should try both some time.

    4. The truth hurt didn't it. That this might be a blog where a bunch of mean girls get together and analyze a complete stranger to most of you. You can keep trying to convince people I am Jenna because you want to believe your not a mean person like me, but you are. Keep trying to convince yourself, maybe message Jenna and she can give you some good advice on living like fiction.

I'm not going to argue the point and ruin it for the other posters here. So I'm done-- I don't owe you or anyone else here anything. There are several posts here, well over a dozen I think and not one person has been scammed here except maybe emotionally scammed. I can relate with that, but the truth still stands- I laid my answer to the admin's question plain and clear while others wanted to answer a bit more eloquently. Sorry my honest answer got under your skin. It would be nice if everyone could get a long, exp. considering this isn't your blog- it's Hound Doggy's.

  6. I did it through my outlook email at work. Always makes me happy I can read her dreck and she not get a single view off of it. Please everyone google how to do it. I bet a significant amount of her numbers come from us. Lets shut her down. Her comments are pitiful now lets get her numbers down she will lose advertisers eventually. Did anyone see on her facebook the 80's themed CAF rocking homesteading thing? Someone commented bourbon? i almost peed my pants.

  9. This is why I come here. Because I can't wrap my head around why her fans are so fucking gobsmacked by someone so mediocre. She isn't amazing. That's the last thing she is. She's largely incompetent at everything she does. She lies constantly. She's devoid of original thought or expression. Her driving force is attention-seeking and validation. She seems to have at least one or more mental illnesses. I just don't get it. That's why I can't take my eyes off the circus.

  13. I didn't start reading her blog until after she was at her current "farm." Even then, I didn't read it much because I didn't find her to be a good writer, and she didn't seem very interesting. She also seemed to have a lot of financial emergencies even when she was still working. I sympathized with her desire to homestead and be self sufficient, and I felt sorry for her trying to make it alone in a hostile world. I think that was the story she was presenting. Then she bought the pony she couldn't afford, and started begging for money because she was waking up at 3am in a cold sweat. I really wanted to help her out, but before I sent her money, I emailed her privately to ask some questions about her situation. I think I emailed her 2 or 3 times and her responses were what led me here. She's mean, she's "scared" she's willing to call the sheriff on you if you question her judgement. She doesn't make sense and she isn't willing to answer questions. She isn't willing to look at why she's in the predicament she's in, she just wants to make her dreams come true even if she has to abuse the world to get it. (Kind of like a certain Presidential candidate, now that I think of it.) After I came to the first Sham blog I found out how many people she actually ripped off, and I never offered to help her again.

I kept reading her blog from time to time because I wondered if she'd grow up and realize where she went wrong. I do think she's started to change her message lately. She talks more about selling logos and lambs and meat shares instead of straight out begging. She still has that Birchthorn fiasco hanging over her head, she could have had that finished in 6 months if she had recognized what a gift it was, and really worked at fulfilling her promise. But she played instead and was claiming to be behind on her mortgage within 3 months. I think the longer she goes on getting away with her scams, the worse she gets. That's the main reason I see for keeping this blog going.

    1. Did she threaten to call the sheriff? My guess is that as her reputation goes in that town, the sheriffs are as sick of her shit as anyone else.

      Delete
    2. Yes she did, because the "tone" of my email "scared" her. Mind you, I never said anything threatening to her in any way, I don't live within 500 miles of her, but I did suggest that she get a job and stop begging. After she trapped the hawk, I suggested she only wanted the pony and bird for her fantasy costume. She later said she called the sheriff on either Meredith and her commenters or the old sham blog, and she said she felt so threatened by us that she applied for a CCW. Some of her followers came to both blogs and threatened libel suits. I don't think anyone took them seriously.

      Delete
    3. Good lord! She can't do a damn thing if what people are saying about her is true. Anyone reading your email and seeing that it wasn't more than observations and suggestions wouldn't take her seriously at all. If anything, it adds to the case that she is nuts and her family should check her into a psych hospital.
She couldn't afford the legal costs of a restraining order. Jenna Woginrich really is scared of the truth lol!

      Delete
    4. She must have hated that you suggested that the hawk and pony were part of her fantasy costume! I think that is hilarious because she couldn't be more obvious that she is a poser and dons whatever accessories fit what she thinks is cool now. The whole kilt, fell pony, archery, and hawk thing was so cheesy and orchestrated that it was laughable. She acts like an immature child who still wants to play make-believe. Worse still, she pats herself on the back for being original or some other nonsense when the reality is that she only has the time to play make-believe because the little snowflake thinks she is too good to actually work like the everyone else.

      Delete
    5. Yeah, it was the hawk and pony comment that really got to her, though she really hates being told to get a job too. She's lucky I'm not her mother, I'd probably slap her across the face and say "wake up girl!"

      Delete
    6. She said she had a good visit with her parents. They've probably given up trying to reason with her and she considers that a "good visit".

    9. She can't afford wood or hay (eyeroll) so she definitely cant afford one of them new fangled 'straining orders!

    10. Redhorse, I like the fact that you took the time to email someone whom you thought was having problems at the time. It says a lot about your character. Jenna could have had a wealth of good advice from people if she had only acted a tiny bit appreciative. I sent her a link to a local news story about a couple who was giving away their working goat farm (house, out buildings, dairy barn, acreage, etc.) to the person who wrote the best essay in a contest expressing how they would lovingingly care for their farm. Do you think I received a "thanks for the article"? Nope. I purposely didn't mention it in the comments of her blog so she wouldn't have more competition in the contest.
Now I'm thankful she didn't win because she is ungrateful hag.

  14. Here because we care about humanity and unsuspecting good hearted people about to be ripped off by her; that's why. Enough is enough.

  15. I'm here because she presents herself as a scrappy little badass gal, but is brought to her knees in a sobbing heap when she receives a job application in the mail. She even wrote once that she would rather live under a bridge than go back to work.

So she will do everything she can to get readers to open up their hearts and wallets. It hurts to see generous readers send her money while she is educated and able bodied. She used to beg outright, but now disguises it by hawking logos (no pun intended), saying she needs money for feed, mortgage, firewood... It really seems she is just hoping people will send money.

One of the worst episodes was when she was desperate for $1,000 for a root canal, got donations, then bought a $1,000 puppy.

If she really cared about her fans, she would finish Birchthorn, which backers paid $15,000 for. Yet she seems to rub people's faces in the fact that she is binge watching tv, playing WoW, buying Rag and Bone jeans and running around with crazy wolf eyes.

I'm here to warn others plus I just can't look away from the train wreck.

  17. I'm here not because I was monetarily scammed, but I feel scammed over feeling inspired from her. As another single woman trying to get to land and homesteading, I found her blog late and read two or three blogposts and thought "oh good! She's done it!" And then went back to read her blog from the start. I remember the first time she needed financial assistance, and I remember almost donating - but then remembered that it was well in the past so I had *hoped* things were better by now. Boy was that not the case. Back then she used to create, she used to sell actual goods, and it really seemed like it was possible to do what she did. But then the outright begging started, along with the being nasty to people in comments (and the number of thank you's to people counted on one hand) and hasn't let up since. I just felt so disenchanted seeing her get gift after gift after gift and then just squander it. It really does make one feel emotionally scammed to have been that mentally cheered and invested in something only to have it show it's colors as the complete opposite.

    2. Emotionally scammed - I like that phrase. It is exactly how I feel. I used to save her posts because I thought she was so inspiring. I wanted to quit my office job too and I looked to her for inspiration as to how to do it. Then came the incessant begging. What a letdown. Glad I kept my office job. At least I can pay my bills and sleep at night. Plus, I am investing in my future.

      Delete
    3. I was never scammed by her, either, but I did send money once back in the day, for which I was never thanked. As you might imagine, that soured my enthusiasm. Now I realize that to Jenna, my donation was a business transaction (similar to my spending money on a Joan Didion book; would I expect Didion to write me a thank you note?) as opposed to a charitable donation.

I suspect that a good number people who are buying her logos and artwork also consider what they're doing as charity. The fact that Jenna doesn't get this, that she sees herself as a businesswoman offering desirable goods and services to the public, in the form of artwork, logs, blog posts, what have you, is at the heart of her problem. She has been lifted up and supported by a community that I'm not convinced she's all that interested in or sees herself as a part of. We're her audience, her fans, not her community.

When I donated to Jenna way back in the day, I was certainly an admirer of hers and wanted her to succeed in her efforts. I enjoyed reading her blog posts. I liked reading all the comments, too--remember when her posts got all sorts of comments from long-time small farmers and homesteaders? They offered support, advice, feedback--I felt like I learned a lot! But one by one they dropped away, and little by little so did I. When I checked in again, she was just starting the Birchthorn campaign, and I knew right away she was never going to finish that book.

So I'm here because I want to see how this story plays out. I don't feel any animosity towards Jenna, though I understand why people do. I'd love for her to find a way to come clean and start over. I have a feeling she's tired of the homesteading life, which is one of the reasons her writing has gone downhill--it's as though she's trying to convince herself that trotting along on Merlin or slaughtering lambs is just the most amazing thing ever. I don't think she believes that anymore. I really don't. And that's okay--she's been doing this homesteader thing since her mid-twenties; it may very well be time to move on.

    4. "Anonymous"6:34: Jenna if you struggle with mental health problems everyday, spend less money on bullshit and pay for an appointment to see a mental health professional. An appointment without insurance should be between $60-$80. Generic psych meds are well under $10 a month. I know this because I have worked in the health profession for 20+ years.
Your mental illness effects those poor animals that depend on you. There is no excuse for Merlin to be out in the elements all winter at his age. You have been given money to build an outbuilding and you squandered it like you do every other opportunity.
At this point, after mailing yourself a job application claiming it was from some sort of enemy and making up stories about people hiring you for violin lessons and soap making, your family could easily commit you to a psychiatric facility without your consent.
Get off of your ass and help yourself.

  18. I too was a fan for a few years. After she already had the farm. I can't remember how I found her blog exactly but it would have been from reading other people's blogs and seeing their reading list.
I went to a weekend fiddle camp and then bought a season's pass, which never got used. I paid a monthly "subscription" because I believed a writer should get paid. I paid for the "Clan" when things got dire. I emailed her offering free advice and tools for financial management - that's what I do for a living. I even bought her first book.
It was about 6 months or so after the Clan was set up that I realized things were a little strange. That's when I went back to the beginning of her blog and read everything. I saw the patterns and the nonsense, like quitting her job and buying the horse.
The Clan postings petered out to nothing. The regular blog postings got lamer. So I stopped the monthly payments.
I don't agree with the body-shaming comments, but I do have a problem with hair extensions and cosmetic contact lenses... and designer jeans and celebrity worship. They're all a big waste of time and money when there are wolves circling...
I didn't back Birchthorn - I read the few chapters she threw up on the blog way back in the beginning and I found them unreadable.

    1. If you look at how much JW claims to make from logos and sketches as her core business, it definitely looks as if she is earning $500 - 600 a week tax free. The sheep, pigs, clan memberships, fiddle camp, ebooks are all profit. $2k per month is easily able to support a mortgage, utilities, and food in upstate NY. Don't forget she often comments that the horse is transportation so she doesn't need gas, that's a nice to have. It's all the other non-essential stuff that makes a lifestyle unaffordable. Over the summer she made $4500 in contest and fundraiser revenue. That is retirement savings. Wolves at the door is narrative to encourage donations and purchases. That "live like fiction" comment sums it up.

      Delete
    2. Since she has discontinued a lot of her big money weekend activities, eg the full day chicken/rabbit workshops, the goat and soap making, rabbit workshops, antlerstock, is an indicator that she is earning enough that she doesn't haven't to put out so much effort anymore. She has hit upon a business idea - logos and artwork - that is enough to live on and give her the time to binge watch pop culture.

    3. Back when I used to visit her blog, I also read the first few chapters of Birchthorn and thought it was pretty terrible and dull. At that time, I was actually still a fan of hers and thought she was a great writer, but clearly fiction was not where she excels. When her fans were commenting that they just loved the story and couldn't wait for more, I thought maybe I was missing something so I went back and read the first chapter again. Nope, it was still terrible. Then when she started a Kickstarter for it, I could not believe there were people that would actually pay for more of that book. All I kept thinking is that there are actual really good authors out there that know how to truly write a compelling book and Jenna is not one of them. Now, when I read her attempts at meaningful posts on her blog like the disaster she wrote recently about Merlin, I realize that she has likely lost her ability to write altogether.

Why give all the pumpkins at once? Evidently and not surprisingly it was too much of a good thing and now holds no value...rolling around like a soccer ball (likely through pig shit).

Tip: give a few pumpkins a day.

Gather a shit ton and disperse them through winter. Guess what will naturally keep in the right conditions? Whole pumpkins!

All good things must come to an end? Yes...after months, not days.

  23. Awhile back when she was in one of her crises, she asked if anyone had an experience where things got better in an instant. She didn't get any responses, but a lot of people emailed her with suggestions, I being one of them.

I told her it sounded like she should get a job, even part time. I said it didn't have to be forever, just until she dug herself out of the hole.

She responded pleasantly by saying she was making more money than she did when she was working for Orvis. I was gobsmacked. I then told her if she was making more money and still couldn't make ends meet, then she couldn't afford her lifestyle. Something had to give.

She wasn't too pleasant after that. I then realized that nothing anyone said would make a difference. She would have to fall flat on her face before she made any changes. But as long as her followers keep propping her up, that won't happen. I wish they could see they aren't doing her any favors. She is dependent on them and not herself.

    6. Anon 9:35, she doesn't. That is one example of how Jenna Woginrich seizes on every opportunity to make as much free cash as possible. Truck won't start. Well then (if that's even true) let's tell the readers how very expensive the repairs will be so they will rush to donate money.
That is how Snowflake ekes out a living.

    9. Buying an old truck (or any vehicle) means you'd better be mechanically inclined. ALL old vehicles wear out, break down, etc. She doesn't even own a tool??? What a tool she is!

If you buy an old vehicle and you're not mechanical, you'd better have a cache of cash laying around for all the repairs that will inevitably pop up. I have many tools for fixing basic things, both vehicular and otherwise (carpentry). I drive a 1982 GMC diesel pickup. Have you ever priced even a basic oil change for a diesel truck??? It's nearly $100. I do that myself, I change the fuel filters (there are two and it's a closed, pressurized system). Recently I replaced all the fuel return lines because one was leaking, so replaced them all. (Read: old truck=shit wears out) It cost me 20 bucks for the lines. If I'd have taken it to a shop, it would have cost probably $200+.

This girl needs to buck up and learn some self-sufficiency skills. Doesn't she realize that's part of the shtick of being a homesteader???

    13. Seriously, what "farm"-related stuff does she do beyond throw feed and water at her animals and plant a few rows of kale?

She doesn't keep the place in good repair, have a clue about fencing, grow a good portion of her own food and can it, harvest trees from her woods..heck, she considers it a job that needs a clan work day to even stack the damn wood that gets dumped on her lawn - at least last year that's how it went down. Maybe this yr she managed to pull it together enough to hobble back and forth for an hour or so with a couple logs in her arms - surely sighing miserably, mumbling about how tough it is to be alone with ALL THIS WORK, no one to share the burden.

Can't see what she does (beyond outdoor play, indoor screen hobbies, and her professional "work", such as it is) other than feed her animals and herself.

Poor thing can't also be expected to at least TRY to keep her truck in good running order and learn the basics.

    14. That is so spot on! Scary how someone can declare themselves a farmer, throw up a blog and then have readers clamoring for more. She is a farmer in her head only. If she can garner that much attention with fantasy and lies, I can only imagine how successful a real farmer who is intelligent and kind and willing to take suggestions would be.

If you have reached this site because you are trying to research Jenna Woginrich, I would encourage you to read through the archives of the Cold Antler Farm blog and see how she wastes her spare time and money (most of which donated by readers, if not all). Now she wants you, dear reader, to pay for her winter supplies.
She offers these sales for goods/services in hopes that people will not need them and instead just donate money to her via her PayPal donate button on her blog. That is why when someone actually orders from her, they either receive it months later than promised or not at all. She is immature and unreliable and preys upon good people.

  33. This is Jenna's chance to show what a scrappy little homesteader she is. Remember how she crowed about going to NAPA and getting an auto part? If she learned a few simple car repairs she could add that to her scrappy tool belt, so to speak.

Vicki Robins, co-author of Your Money or Your Life, learned to do car repair. One of her favorite quotes is, "I buy my freedom with my frugality". Jenna has the book because she posted a picture of it on her bookshelf once. Maybe it's in her fridge or freezer now. If so, she should thaw it out and give it a going over. It would be a big help to her.

I am terrified of strangers, but feel comfortable with people vulnerable online - writers, comics, etc. This says more about me than them.

So, she's terrified of strangers --ie the only people she has the potential to form an actual relationship with-- and at ease with the comics/writers/whoever on twitter-- ie the people she's having the most basic, superficial exchanges with-- which will, more likely than than not, go no further. Yikes. Does she not understand that she has nothing of substance going on with these people on twitter?

Also, not for nothing, but she seems super okay with accepting money from people she's never met and never will. She has no problem creating an illusion of friendship with people that will never be anything more to her than a thumbnail FB profile pic when there's money at stake. She's terrified of strangers yet most of what she does is a bid for their attention and approval. I mean, if I were afraid of people, the last thing I would do is start a blog and over-share on a regular basis.

Occasionally, there's a little back and forth of the most perfunctory nature and this poor woman thinks she's now on friendly terms with ?? Twitter can be loads of fun and interesting but when you envision it as a portal to relationships with people that live nowhere near you and, let's face it, have actual lives that definitely do not include hanging out with someone as basic as Jenna Woginrich, you've lost grip on reality. Another friend is a maniac quilter and I use to read about a lady who made most of her itsy items during her long New England winters. I use those days to get ahead of my writing, clean closets and declutter, and lay out plans for the farm for next spring. It's a great time to complete, but then I'm a completer. I hate having multiple projects undone because I've been pulled away by other things.

Jenna must get very lonely in winter, maybe even cabin fever, when the walls close in and you can't run away from what's in your head by riding a horse or floating down a river.

It would be an ideal time to finish Birchthorn, build a portfolio website for logo business or look for more online work rather than using the stale logo fire sale. How about online classes about running a home business. I'd love to have that kind of time, I coukd get so much done.

    6. Do you think this binge watching TV and being on social media constantly is bizarre? I started following her 8 years ago and it seems she has morphed into something else.

  46. Jenna Woginrich: are you going to but telemetry on your bird this year? I am thinking about it.

From what I can gather, the telemetry equipment is $600-1000 investment.

Where does the money come from? She had her summer windfall of $5500 -- $1000 was immediately given to the runners up in the Beekman's -- leaving her with $4500. Yet, she claimed to be (3?) months behind on her mortgage and she was wrangling the power company just to keep the lights on. So, that $4500 couldn't have gone far. The mortgage keeps coming in the mail, ya know?

She has the chutzpah to mewl about her truck needing several hundred dollars of repairs while simultaneously pondering a major purchase of gizmos for her hobby du jour. She hints at financial stress in blog posts mentioning that she "hopes" to buy firewood, and "if she's able" wording along those lines. But really? She's thinking about buying a transistor for a wild bird because it might return to it's habitat and then she wouldn't get to play anymore.

Apparently, she feels perfectly entitled to every sympathy donation she tries to elicit, expecting concern and financial aid for her (normal, daily, expected)"special" expenses - over and over ad nauseam, year after year - and is proud, likely pleased, to let it all (or some, imagine what she doesn't mention) hang out. Why? Admiration? Acceptance? Is she actually looking for scorn and thrives off reading people's criticism and condemnation? Seems more likely every year that she actually craves having her "haters" feel disgust.

    3. She's had that kindle a few months at least. Does anyone else remember her tweeting a pic of her reading a book on a kindle? A lot of us commented on here that she had said she had dial up but she must have wifi if she's on a Kindle.
If she's acting like she recently bought that, she has once again screwed up her own lie.

  51. From the latest blog post: "Pop culture and agriculture and hunting culture are just people hoping for stories."

No! No! No! Agriculture and hunting are about increasing the food supply that humans need to survive. While I'm poetic enough to believe that stories feed a basic human need, I cannot abide this logic because it's bullshit logic. People don't farm because they're looking for a good story to tell over a beer. They farm and hunt because we need food.

I do believe, however, that Jenna is homesteading (sort of) and hunting because she's looking for a good story to tell. She likes the idea of being a homesteader/farmer and a falconer, and you know what? I get that. She has created a narrative about who she is based on who she'd like to be. I myself have done many things in my life, from picking up a guitar to going to hardcore shows to some boring-assed lectures on art/culture/politics because there was a kind of person I was trying to be. I've worn difficult shoes because there was a certain kind of person I was trying to be. I've gone places and done things for the story of it. Sometimes I think I get frustrated with Jenna because we're more alike than not. But I'm older now, and I have less tolerance for crap and crap writing. "Pop culture and agriculture and hunting culture are just people hoping for stories" is crap writing, and Jenna, if you're reading this, take it to heart. Stick to describing your experiences and not trying to extrapolate deep meaning from them, particularly when the meaning you extrapolate is nonsense. This is where you almost always stumble as a writer. Stop it.

    2. "She has created a narrative about who she is based on who she'd like to be." Wow that really struck a chord. That's exactly what's she's doing. However, most of us do that in teen years or 20s. There's nothing wrong with trying different things, but she seems stuck in pre-pubescence.

      Delete
    3. That is also my opinion. She has the mindset of a middle school aged girl who has trouble making friends because she's such a snot.

    4. Keep in mind there isn't a lot of material to write about when you are streaming videos all day. Maybe she will switch to being a critic but not sure that there is a market to sell video reviews. Spinning a walk in the woods into a tale is a hard thing to do when nothing unusual happens. After all we all go for hikes, enjoy the changing seasons, observe nature.

    5. Wow, you are right about everything. I have to say, the first paragraph of that post was actually pretty good, compared to what she's been writing for the last 2 to 3 years. But the rest of it, more lame excuses from Jenna to justify why she does what she does.

Why would she say something so stupid about hunting and farming? Doesn't she realize that hunting is about survival, and goes back to the origins of our species when we came out of the trees. That it changed us physically and mentally and changed our guts and the way we lived and it shaped our evolution.

The story of agriculture is even more profound than that. It started our journey to what we are today, it was the beginning of us shaping the world for our benefit instead of merely surviving in it. To me, the story of humans domesticating animals, chickens, pigs, dogs, cattle, horses, those have been the most miraculous things we've done. It's been only 100 years since we relied on horses in our daily lives and I wish we wouldn't forget it so quickly. To make the flippant statement she made comparing pop culture to hunting and agriculture shows just how shallow she is, and it's been the big flaw in her thinking and writing.

However, she was right to link those 3 things together , in a way. Those things make it possible for her to live a selfish life. We do have enough in our country for people like her to get away with doing nothing and surviving. Pop culture isn't in the same category as hunting and farming, which are survival skills, pop culture has become a way to get attention and get paid for it. Frankly, Jenna doesn't do a very good job of it, but maybe she's learning.

      Delete
    6. Another reason she links them together is to justify the amount of time she spends immersed in pop culture. She's saying, "I'm about all of this stuff," which is fine, but to equate pop culture with agriculture in terms of its importance is silly. Don't get me wrong--I think we're living in a golden age of pop culture, with all the amazing TV that's available, the wide array of music, the great podcasts (pop culture movies pretty much suck)--but for the most part none of it is lasting. Pop culture speaks to the moment. But I agree with you, Redhorse, agriculture changed the course of human history, and as the climate continues to change, the most important thing we'll need to do is figure out how to farm when the weather is unpredictable. Anna Kendrick may be talented and adorable, but ultimately she's unimportant in the scheme of things.

  52. I just saw something that totally made me laugh out loud.
The My Favorite Murder podcast that Jenna stalks has a T-shirt available.
    It says:

    My Favorite Murder
Get A Job, Buy Your Own Shit
    Stay Out Of The Forest

Im guessing these are references to things discussed on the podcast but they totally sound Anti-Jenna! Too funny!

  53. Feeding lamb to a hawk that doesn't produce anything or at best brings in a squirrel or rabbit is a colossal waste of good meat. If Jenna can afford that, she's not broke and doesn't really need fan money.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I don't think she's broke at all anymore but just cant stop asking for money. She's buying too much stuff and seeing too many movies to be really broke. When you are broke you don't go to the movies and especially in her case where she has to drive 25-30 miles to Saratoga to go to one. I beat that old beater gets crappy mileage too so not only does she have to pay for the ticket but she needs to buy gas too. Hey and think about it one thing she got out of the heathen group besides free labor is a new beehive! What a lucky little snowflake she is!

  55. Still no meetups scheduled for her heathen group...who is going to stack her wood?

    3. Yeah, wonder where she's gonna find new recruits to fill out the kindred? There's not really an overabundance of Heathens within driving distance of her that can also stomach how controlling she is. Seriously. Reading the rules and regs for TGH made me squirm. Jenna's a little tyrant thirsty for power.

    4. What's next depends on what super-cool new movie or TV show she runs into. Kind of like the heathen thing didn't start until she saw the Vikings show.

  56. Jenna just tweeted an "annual reminder" that dogs don't like to wear Halloween Costumes.
Jenna, they don't like to be used as props to perpetuate a lifestyle either.

    1. She's an idiot. Plenty of dogs are a-ok with costumes and they're fun. They make a lot of people smile.

She's adopted policing pet owners as part of her persona yet her relationship with Gibson is as intense as they come. Nude spooning, anyone?

    2. Lol Anon 12:37. Some pets do enjoy costumes. My daughter's cat loves to fetch, take showers and wear costumes. His favorite is his dinosaur costume lol.

    3. Her hypocrisy is astounding. But it's okay for Gibson to wear stupid sunglasses, since Jenna considers it cool.

    4. She also recently enthusiastically tweeted her agreement with someone's article about not calling your pets your children. But calling one your spouse is okay I guess...

    5. OMG, how DARE she make a pronouncement about what animals do and do not like?!

What about the unnatural, restrictive, utterly intrusive get-up with which she has restrained and burdened the free wild creature she trapped, abducted, and dressed up in cap, anklets, and bell and who knows what else- and NOT just for a few hrs at Halloween but for months at a time - and subjected to her will and damned indoor TV watching!

What a stupid, flaming hypocrite. I could just throttle her.

    6. Wow, I'm going to work on my lucid dreaming skills: I'm starting to crave a dream experience at least (since it will never come to pass in real life) in which several of us confront her in person and compel her to answer for her herself, her practices - animal and otherwise - her stubborn refusal to help herself, and her irresponsible fund-raising schemes.

Let her speak to her critics and ex-admirers in a setting where follow-up questions are allowed and she has to defend her arrogant baloney.

  57. Here's her last poop post via Reddit. BTW: Her stupid username is Shieldmare. It only attracted three comments, so far, and the princess never responded to any of them. Probably, because no one commented on how cool Gibson looked in the pic:

"People post pics of dogs looking sad with funny text. But a forlorn Border Collie just looks like Johnny Cash's Hurt is playing in his soul."

  58. There are few words to accurately describe just how mentally ill Jenna Woginrich is.

Jenna doesn't like dog costumes. What about the stupid sunglasses you put on your dogs? It doesn't make you cool. It makes you batshit crazy.

What about the atrocious amount of attire you put on a WILD animal- the hawk you kidnapped? That is so much worse and much more intricate than any pet Halloween costume.

Jenna doesn't like it when people refer to their pets as their children.
How many times has Jenna alluded to her dogs being her spouse? Now THAT is fucked up.

Jenna Woginrich is completely out of touch with reality and totally nuts.

  59. She posted on FB a while back that anyone who lives a life without dogs is "broken." What an idiot. I had two dogs for many years, both of them recently passed away. I am choosing to have no dogs for a while, for my own reasons. My sister would love to have pets of any kind, but she is severely allergic to anything with fur. I guess that means we're both busted & broken? Not.

Someone actually called her out on this on her FB post; I'm surprised she left it up but didn't reply with more snark.

  62. WOW...she gets 150ish posts into her feed in the morning. No wonder she doesn't have time to farm, get a job, fix fences, finish Birchthorn or clients projects. If she spends just one minute reading them she has spent almost 6 hours on FB alone. Add to that the TV/movie binges and it really becomes clear why she can't get stuff done.

I think she is either addicted to technology or has trained herself to be ADD.
